Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
I am currency Out of Network. However, many insurance companies will reimburse individuals for a percentage of the cost of treatment with an out-of-network provider. If you are interested in pursuing reimbursement, I am happy to provide you with a Super Bill that includes your payment history. Questions about reimbursement are best addressed to your insurance provider as policies differ widely between companies.
How do I get started?
Whether you're considering therapy or have already decided to start, I'm happy to set up a free 15-20-minute phone chat. It's an excellent way for you to get a feel for how I approach therapy and ask any questions you might have. We can also discuss what's bringing you to therapy and explore potential treatment options.
If I'm unavailable to work with you, I'll offer a referral to a colleague or a spot on my waitlist.
Do you work with children and teens?
No, I work with adults (18+) located in Washington State.
I do not work with children and adolescents, but I’m happy to send you child and adolescent provider referrals, so feel free to contact me for a list of referrals.
Good faith estimate information?
Under the law, healthcare providers must give patients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Ensure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
